Adobe's College + Airbnb Creative Jam
Finalist
Finalist
In late April 2020, I entered an international competition where teams competed to push their creative skills utilizing Adobe XD. My teammate was Justin Nuval, one of my favorite people to work with when it comes to design. Justin and I are always looking for new ways to improve on our skills and this experience was the perfect place to do so. The challenge took place over a weekend, with the Kickoff starting on Friday, April 24 and ending on Sunday, April 26.
Within these 2.5 days, we were tasked to create an app to connect family and friends as they make memories through Airbnb. There were 570 total teams participating, representing 360 various college campuses. Justin and I had the honor and privilege to be picked as FINALISTS for this competition, joining nine other creative teams to compete for the top 5 spots.
Below you'll find the challenge brief provided to the participants for the Creative Jam.

The Presentation:
The end of the competition is marked by the ten finalist teams presenting their prototypes live on Crowdcast and Facebook. I presented on behalf of our team, and I'm not going to lie... I was pretty nervous leading up to this event! Even though the presentation was through a webcam, I couldn't help but feel the same pre-speech jitters as I would for an in-person presentation. Regardless of my feelings, I think I did great! :)
